#21Daychallenge Day18👇 #Train yourself like #army
Everyone makes mistakes. Some people learn from them, while others repeat them.
But if you train yourself for unforeseen & unexpected factors, then you can reduce the quantum of mistakes in your life.
Mostly, we make mistakes because of two factors:
1. #knownfactors - For example, somebody who is afraid of thieves locks up their bike.
2. #unknownfactors - Like the unexpected attack on Pearl Harbor by Japanese kamikaze pilots in 1941, the USA wasn't prepared because it never would've imagined such an #attack.
We usually train ourselves for known factors but I emphasize training for unknowns. To do this, #practice these three types of trainings :
1. #Skill based training - Train yourself for the critical skills you may not need now but might require in the future. As like, #SteveJobs'1972 #calligraphy class sparked a #creative revolution. Though it didn't offer a #collegecredit to Steve then, it inspired #innovative fonts and user interfaces. Today, we benefit from Jobs' fusion of #art and #technology, transforming the #digitalworld.
2. #Rule based training - Train yourself to follow rules and #regulations. Remember the STOP Rule I shared earlier https://lnkd.in/gQvAPNjf where 8 #mountaineers lost their lives due to not following the 2PM Rule.
3. #Knowledge based training - Continuously update your knowledge by challenging yourself and exploring beyond the reliable #resources. For example, the Western world once assumed that all swans were white until 17th century research discovered a breed of #blackswans. (Black Swan by - Nicholas Taleb)
By incorporating these three trainings, you'll be better equipped to tackle #unforeseen #challenges in 2025. Make this the year you proactively prepared for #unexpected.
All the best !
