The Documentary Crip Camp on Netflix, is a perfect show of the Cripple Fight for Rights, This week's episode focuses on the activism of a few camp goers from "Crip Camp" and how their willingness to fight for us cripples to be seen as the human beings we are, we have some ADA and "anti discriminatory laws" but also brings to my attention that even in 2020 we are dealing with the exact issues dealt with in 1970. Leading to question the actual progression of disability rights and treatment in the United States 49 years after Camp Janed opened it's doors to our wheelchairs and crutches. They paved the way for the world we have today, it's time the young generation of 21stCenturyCripple's to carry the tourch.
Covid 19 has taken over 2020 and it is a scary time for people with compromised immune systems, disabled people, and elderly individuals. Between misinformation and the urgent need to buy up all the nations toilet paper, Americas ablest mentality as well as it's disregard for the lower middle class always shines through. We have to be kind to one another, and mindful of other people and try to have faith in times like these where we seem to be absent of a leader that can help us through. IT'S CORONA CRAZINESS!!!!!!!! and there's not salt and lime included.
The importance of the young generations to go out and make our voices heard on voting days. Voting is a bit of a tedious process but it is important to show up to the polls in numbers, we vote on reality TV shows and Instagram Captions and for awards for artist, we need to start voting for the policies that rule our way of life, otherwise the small percentage of voters that actually showed up to vote carry more weight than they should. We need to take advantage of the right to vote and stop letting the lack of votes be the reason for the country taking steps backwards.
