Your readers are smart. Trust me, smarter than you think. And you're probably doubting your writing skills for nothing. So, trust your words and trust your readers will understand them. Or if you have doubts, ask someone to read your story and see what they think.

Filter words distract your readers for no gain. There are situations where you need to tell, but even then don't overdo it with the filter words.
