You know him. That man with the smile. You just know that his life has been one of adventure and thrills, and no matter how well his feet are planted on solid group, he will uproot himself the moment and idea inspires him to do so.

On a cold December day, this smile was floating down the Missouri River, checking in with others and feeling quiet, peaceful and free. And just as the world blinked, and everyone had their eyes adverted for a blip in time, that smile disappeared.

The outdoors are a beautiful that can be filled with light and bliss and many different ways to bring yourself closer to those you love and yourself. But they can also be filled with terror and death, imminent and oppressive. Join me as we dig into these stories that inspire you to be just a little bit more careful while you’re in the outdoors.
