Factory of the Future - Evolution of Modern Manufacturing

22. Mapping the Future of Manufacturing

Listen Later

Jason Voiovich is the author of "Marketer in Chief: How Each President Sold the American Idea" - a book charting the evolution of the United States through the eyes of its chief salesperson. Several of the stories in the book touch on branding and messaging, but one in particular stands out: Warren Harding and the Pershing Map. Before there was an interstate highway system, the manufacturing community needed decent roads to get goods to market (and more to the point for General Pershing, for war readiness).

In this podcast, we discuss this idea of creating a "Pershing Map" for the future of manufacturing, and see if we can discover what it would look like.
