The dead man with a beard, a beard longer than himself, was rolled up in his blanket.  His beard was tied into a nice bow,  But his body was resting on gold, down in his hole.  So his body had to go.   But the problem was . . . 

The story took place years ago near the town of Mariposa, in California. Hope you enjoy.
