Little bit of history, little bit of Tall Tale

Ever heard of a snake whip?  When it came to robbers, bandits and thieves, the snake whip special kept the lawbreakers away.   The snake whip could fend of everything, but one thing, and that one thing was a gang of . . . .

This story mostly took place in the between Auburn and Forest Hill in California
