22. Ten Reasons you are Overeating

This isn't the usual list you'll see- like "being bored" or "too hungry."  The real reason that you are overeating is because you think, deep down that it has a benefit for you in some way.  It has a purpose for you, or you wouldn't do it!

Here are the top 10 thoughts that I've discovered as I've dug deeper. 

  1. It’s not going to taste good without junk food.
  2. It’s how I connect with my family/friends.
  3. I don’t want to miss out.  
  4. It comforts or calms me.
  5. Makes me happy.  
  6. I need food to take a break.  
  7. I deserve to have a treat sometimes
  8. I don’t want to be rude by refusing it.
  9. Don’t want to waste it.
  10. Self-punishing: “I might as well eat more because it’s too late.”  “It’s not going to work anyway.”
