Dreams of Consciousness Podcast Episode 221 features an interview with Vaedis Eosphorus of Vimur.
Atlanta's Vimur represent the aggressive side of USBM that's often overlooked. Their speed and searing riffs separates them from their folk-influenced and atmospheric peers.
I spoke with guitarist/vocalist Vaedis Eosphorus about what led him to form Vimur, and how Vimur's sound has evolved as it moved from a solo project to a full band. We also talked about the long gestation period of their latest album, Transcendental Violence, and what to expect from Vimur as they write material for a fourth album.
My thanks to Vaedis for speaking with me, and to all of you for listening.
