Dreams of Consciousness Podcast Episode 222 features an interview with Justin Stubbs of Father Befouled.

Atlanta's Father Befouled are synonymous with the resurgence of dark, morbid death metal (sometimes referred to as "Incantationcore"). As the band's founder Justin Stubbs says, "You can't mention that without mentioning my band."

I spoke with Justin about the classic death metal bands who inspired Father Befouled, and how a Southern Baptist upbringing shaped his anti-religious themes. We also discussed what led guitarist Derrik Goulding to take the production reins for Father Befouled's latest album, Crowned In Veneficum, and how the band keeps their sound fresh with every record.
