Most of us were taught to set goals by people who had no idea what kind of mind we had.
The frameworks we inherited — SMART goals, vision boards, quarterly targets, the relentless optimization ofachievement — were built for a particular kind of thinker. Linear, singular, outcome-driven. Someone who picks a destination, makes a plan, executes the plan, checks the box.
For that kind of mind, those tools work reasonably well. What about for the rest of us?
