Raised in Trinidad and Tobego, Troy was raised in a Catholic home and owes much to the path cleared for him by his family. But he also managed to break rules in unconventional ways, challenging norms and questioning teaching that seemed out of alignment. At age 14, he found himself in detention, where his teacher gave him a book on yoga. Troy's life would never be the same.
