Did you hear the one about the guy who had a warrant out for his arrest by the local police, trolled them on Facebook for a while saying he was going to show up, acted like he was standing them up on a date, apologized for standing them up, then posted a picture turning himself in? That guy was Anthony Akers.

While it’s a pretty hilarious story to read and share around on Facebook, the real story is what happened in Anthony’s life outside of those comedic interactions. It’s a story of high hopes, rise to prominence, falling from grace, bottoming out, and against all odds, figuring out how to climb back out and keep going.
