The first thought process for Carmen to get out of vicious cycles of abuse was to say, "I choose me." After getting lost in her relationships, she has to go back to the basics of who she is and who she was all along. Discovery for Carmen also includes getting the right people at her table and inviting them back with an apology while taking accountability. She notes the importance of her "ride and die" people.
