Title: The Forgotten God of the Sea

Level: Advanced (C1-C2)

Story :

In a forgotten village by the sea, an ancient legend whispered of a forgotten god—an entity whose name had been erased from human memory. The stories spoke of his immense power, his dominion over the oceans, and the deep, unfathomable slumber he had been forced into. But something had begun to stir beneath the waves, an awakening that would change the world forever.

Dr. Evelyn Forsythe, a marine archaeologist, had spent her life studying lost civilizations. When a ship mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind no trace but a strange pattern in the waves, Evelyn was determined to uncover the truth. What she didn’t expect was to find the remnants of an ancient god’s power—still alive, still waiting.

Evelyn’s expedition was no ordinary voyage. As her ship sailed farther into the sea, strange occurrences began to unfold. The water grew unnaturally still, and eerie lights danced beneath the surface. The crew felt an unease that quickly grew into something far darker. Something ancient was calling to them from the deep, and they couldn’t turn away.

In the heart of the ocean, they encountered a figure—humanoid, with silver-like skin that shimmered beneath the waves. His eyes, hollow and deep, looked directly at Evelyn. Without speaking a word, he reached out, and an ancient book materialized in her hands, an artifact long forgotten by mankind. This was the key—the last piece of a puzzle that had been broken for centuries.

The god’s voice echoed in her mind, telling her she had awakened him and that now, the ocean’s power would be his once more. Evelyn was forced to confront her deepest fears as she realized that the god would not be silenced so easily. He was alive, and he would not be contained.
