He got his PhD from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia), worked as a PostDoc at the International Center of Theoretical Physics (Trieste, Italy), and defended the Habilitation thesis at the Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics (Russian Academy of Sciences). The area of his expertise is complex systems. In his interdisciplinary research, Sasha applies modern mathematical, computational, machine learning, and statistical tools to analyze data, construct predictions, detect anomalies, and assess scenarios of real-life processes. He has published papers in the Astrophysical Journal, Physica D, Journal of Statistical Physics, Journal of Mathematical Economics, and other professional first-tier outlets. Sasha receives the support of the academic research from the Russian Science Foundation, Economics Education and Research Consortium, and other Funds.
