First, they run through updates on the final three weeks of the election cycle, Israel’s continuing war crimes and genocide, Blinken’s supposed demands for Israel, Trump’s string of unhinged campaign fiascos, Harris’ outreach to conservatives, Senate polling, India’s extralegal murder campaign in Canada, and FEMA response, before parsing through JD Vance’s continued inability to answer a question (even poorly!) about the validity of the 2020 election results. Next, they dive deeper into the genuine insanity of Trump’s recent mishaps on the campaign trail, exploring the horrid conditions of his venues, his recent decision to dance (?) instead of taking questions with Kristi Noem (as planned), and his stranding of supporters *FOR HOURS* after cutting short of an event outside of Coachella. They also watch Trump’s attempt to defend his wildly unpopular tariff platform to Maria Bartiromo before diving deep into his militant ideas for dealing with the “threat” of the “people from within” that is American leftists and listening to Glenn Youngkin struggle to make those statements out to be anything other than the pure, unfettered fascism that they are. And in the Fun Half: Sam and Emma’s budding tensions with caller John from San Antonio grow as he unpacks his takes on polling info and the state of the Harris campaign, Russell Brand takes on those damn evil energies produced by Wifi or something, and Nancy Pelosi once again asks the Dem base not to believe their lying eyes as she attempts to preemptively shirk blame for a loss onto voters. Ronald Raygun discusses the genuine problem of Democrats’ (and Harris’) decision to let the right define the discourse around immigration and crime, Mopin from West Virginia asks about non-mainstream media coverage of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and a listener from SF explores the non-moral arguments against US support for Israel’s genocide.
