Maro began playing guitar when he was 6 years old. He attended Camp Blues for 8 years where performed regularly on a national stage. His long-time interest in rock music fueled his white-hot passion for songwriting and composing. The honesty and compassion he expresses in his storytelling lyrics have been widely recognized. Maro produced 8 singles with Jones Bones Productions in NYC, and is currently working on new tracks with David Ivory and releasing 5 singles in 2021.

 

Maro hosted his EP release party at The Bitter End in NYC, was a featured artist at a spotlight gig at The Puck in Doylestown, PA. His song “Still Here” was nominated for best lyrics in December, 2018 by SongBro and received great reviews from Artist Rack and Buzz Music. Maro is studying with Tony Savant at Playhouse West and his acting coach, Joey Perillo, will be walking the runway at Fashion Week 2021 in NYC and continues vocal coaching with Shaun Williamson. He is based in Pennsylvania.

A Statement from Maro:

"In September 2020, I wrote Around The Bend following a nasty event regarding deep-seeded personal issues of mine. The whole process of (co)writing (with my writing partner at the time) and producing it (completely on my own, then bringing it to my producer David Ivory to clean it up and make it sparkle) brought me great light upon my life situation; despite not being religious even remotely.

I can only hope that the listeners find relation to their own periods of overcoming and growing from their grief. The silver lining always glimmers.
