Originally from New Zealand, Shamiz Kachwalla was a recent college graduate teaching English in Japan. With no history of any serious health challenges, he unexpectedly found himself hospitalized with ulcerative colitis for more than a month with treatments that only seemed to be making things worse. Miraculously his mom came across information that turned everything around for him, and today he and his brother Shukul run High Carb Health helping others resolve digestive issues using a plant-based diet.
