There's a difference between a peacemaker and a peacekeeper — and most of us have been a peacekeeper our whole lives without realizing it. In this final message of The Good Life, we sit in Matthew 5:9: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." If you've ever kept the peace by staying quiet, smoothing it over, or sweeping it under the rug, this one is for you.
Keeping the peace can look calm on the outside while nothing underneath is actually whole. The Bible has a fuller word for peace — shalom — that means wholeness and restoration, not just the absence of conflict. Which means real peace sometimes asks us to step toward the hard conversation instead of around it: in our marriages, our friendships, our health, our finances. This message unpacks what Jesus actually meant, why "being nice" isn't the same as being at peace, and how peace stops being something you chase and starts being Someone you know.
