Are you a people pleaser???

We know we are - BUT we're trying hard to change that.

Now you might be thinking - wait, why would you change that - doesn't God call us to love and serve others?  

Yes, He most absolutely does.

But He wants us to do that for His approval and praise, NOT for human approval and praise.  

You see people pleasing is actually all about us.  We people please to get people to like us, to accept us, to approve of us.

Our brain is always seeking pleasure and feeling accepted and approved by others is something that bring us great pleasure.

So what's wrong with a little pleasure in our life, right? 

Well nothing, but when we fall into Satan's trap of incessant people pleasing - like so many of us do -  then it brings unintended consequences and takes our lives down paths we didn't intend to go.

God's truth?  He wants us to serve others in a way that's pleasing to Him, not in a way that's ONLY pleasing to us.
