Mercedes and Andy Lilienthal are a wife and husband team who competed with the Superlative Adventure Club in the 2024 Baltic Sea Circle driving the new Volkswagen ID Buzz. They drove the sixteen-day, 7,500 kilometer, 4,771 miles journey as the first team to compete in an EV that was outside of the EU and they were the only EV team this year. The event is the northernmost rally in the world covering nine countries around the Baltic Sea. Their journey included wild camping and daily rally challenges without the use of GPS using only paper maps. They raised money for the Jessi Combs Foundation as their charity of choice You'll remember these two from show #2462 last January when they competed in the 2024 Alcan 5000 Rally driving the new INEOS Grenadier.
