Even though we often do not verbalize it, we have things that we want from God. But do we ask ourselves what God wants from us? We also asks what is His will and what is our purpose? When God’s brings His people to the mountain of God to meet Him, God asks: “Are His people willing to listen to Him and obey Him?” If they are willing to do so, He wants to treat them as His special and unique possession and that they are to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. This is what God wants of not only this people, but of us as well. In numerous places in the New Testament states that God has made us to be “a kingdom of priest and a holy nation”. As a part of that we are to proclaim God’s excellencies. Maybe some times the real questions are not what does God want and what is our purpose, but are we willing to do what He wants of us?
