Side characters can be good or evil. Or even a little bit of both. You need them to support your story and your main character. But they should have another reason to be there, too. They should be as realistic as your main character is with their own goals and motivations. Yet they can't steal the spotlight from your main character. So with writing side characters, it's all about finding that balance. With the help of this episode, you should be able to find it.
