Dreams of Consciousness Podcast Episode 266 features an interview with Matt Eiseman and Alex Huddleston of Tithe.
It didn't take long for Tithe to carve out an identity separate from the Pacific Coast grindcore scene from which they emerged. Within two albums and an EP, the trio forged their own sound through a mishmash of grind, death, and black metal.
I spoke with guitarist/vocalist Matt Eiseman and bassist Alex Huddleston about the importance of hooks in their songs, and finding inspiration in misanthropy. We also discussed how camping on acid led to the darker direction of the latest Tithe album Inverse Rapture, and why they could release an album a year if they so choose.
My thanks again to Matt and Alex for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
