Jesus’ Chosen Fore-bearers

Main idea: The perfect redeemer was sent through imperfect people. 

Adam, the faulty first man (Luke 2:23-38). 

Abraham, the flawed founding father (Matt. 1:1-5). 

David, the imperfect king (Matt. 1:6-11). 

Joseph, the unexpected father of the Messiah (Matt. 1:12-17). 

“God doesn’t use perfection, he gives it.”
