A free NHS service for patients living with long-term health conditions and/or carers. Research has shown that people living with long-term health conditions spend only three hours a year on average with a healthcare professional. For the other 8757 hours of the year they look after themselves. This programme can provide you with the tools to self-manage and deal with your conditions better on a day to day basis.

What is SEP?

Silent Elephant Project (SEP) gives marginalised life limiting and long-term health conditions a platform, through creative and interactive projects. ‘An elephant in the room’ is an English-language metaphorical idiom for an obvious problem no one wants to discuss, or a condition no one wants to challenge. This phrase has coined the main objective of the SEP.
