After missing the self-imposed release date for my upcoming poetry micro-collection, Something like a Fable, I found myself feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly a little hard on myself. But when I paused and dug a little deeper, I realized the situation was far more nuanced than simply “not trying hard enough.”

In this episode, we’re talking about perfectionism, pressure, unrealistic expectations, burnout, lack of capacity, and what it actually means to be a human being trying to create, grow, and pursue goals in real life.
