Ch.5: "Divine Individual Souls".
A reading from Damian Caluori's book Plotinus on the Soul.
The so-called "divine souls"—the World Soul, Souls of the starts, planets and earth—do not differ in nature from human souls, but are of the same essence. What sets these souls apart is their "blissfully unperturbed life", i.e., they do not "experience" the sensible world, and are not distracted from their contemplation in the intelligible.
