So, we are back exactly where we left off, diving into the second film in this trilogy-within-a-trilogy, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Last time around, young Spike was running with the bleach-blonde Jimmy gang in their aggressively colourful tracksuits, while orange-skinned, sun-cured Colonel Kurtz Dr. Kelson was busy firing morphine darts into Mr. Alpha.

This time, screenwriter Alex Garland remains firmly in place, but there’s a new director at the helm – Nia DaCosta – bringing a fresh set of eyes to a world that’s already deep in decay.
