On one hand, we can all nod our heads at the idea that perfectionism is unrealistic, unfair to expect of ourselves and even detrimental to try to aim for...
... But what about when you're a doctors? What about when your performace effects other people in their most vulnerable states?

In this episode, we discuss the unrealistic expectation of perfection in medicine. We bring to light a difficult fact, which is that doctors are humans and humans are fallible. At times, this means patients will, to our devastation, not be perfectly cared for.
We discuss the importance and our reliance on the "Swiss Cheese Model" of caring for patients and how teamwork is essential to minimising and preventing medical errors.
