Are you a teacher who’s always been interested in pursuing a leadership role outside the classroom? Do you feel like you’re getting your own way when it comes to actually stepping up and pursuing that role actively? 

Here’s how I did it:

• Mindset shift; believing in myself and pursuing the dream role even if I got turned down more than once.
• Spoke to others who have made the leap
• Surrounded myself with those who pushed me to keep going

Trust yourself and you’ll make it happen. Don’t get bogged down when you get a response like: “we’ve gone with a different candidate”. Surround yourself with those that believe in you.
