What are you as a multimillion-dollar “product” bringing to the table that will help you stand out to your targeted companies?
Are you selling your ability to build a team?
To double sales?
To reign in costs?
To reorganize and/or streamline a department, division, or company?
To increase profits?
To implement new technology?
To open up locations or operations in new cities or countries?
To develop and implement new strategic plans or direction?
To create better communication and cooperation between divisions?
To improve their core business?
To expand into new markets?
To create new product lines?
Remember, ultimately what you are selling is your ability to solve a company’s problems—even the problems they don’t know they have. Come up with a list of three or four “core competencies” that you have successfully demonstrated and that you enjoy using.
