An Easter gift from local Soprano, Sarah Sadgrove, recorded in the Armidale Catholic Cathedral in 2022. Stabat Mater is the 13th-century Latin hymn ''the sorrowful mother was standing". It depicts the Virgin Mary’s intense grief while watching the crucifixion of her son, Jesus Christ.

Cathy McLinden  has been the Armidale based Rural Financial Counsellor for a little over 12 months. Hailing from Forbes Cathy is enjoying the change from western slopes to high country lifestyle in the Armidale region.

Cathy talks about the wide scope of help that the Rural Financial Counselling Service team offers people in the agricultural sector who need support during times of actual or anticipated financial hardship.

This free Australian Government initiative uses an independent, confidential case management framework to help primary producers plan, set and implement goals to improve financial self sufficiency.

Cathy explains in a relaxed conversation with 2ARM's Margaret O'Connor just how the rural financial counselling service works to help primary producers understand their long term outlook and work on improving  business decision making skills and address the range of issues that often arise in considering the many aspects of a farming enterprise.
