2BT: All In Da Family

On this bonus episode of 2BT, Michael returns with some more memories of how early experiences shaped his reading habits.  It's kind of about how the serendipity of circumstance can lead you to some interesting places and fighting dragons.  There's also a little bonus after the outro that best summarizes his thoughts on the importance of books.  Thanks for listening!

This week the guys try to embrace hate but just end up loving everything.  Topics are fever dreams, a doctor's visit (NSFW), a mean guy on a podcast, Star Trek, and the great new novel by Pierce Brown, Iron Gold!  Thanks for listening.#FUaaronbell#AllOutWar

This is little bonus episode where Michael will discuss different books he has read or is reading.  This is the zero issue of the bonus episodes because its simply an explanation of what the episodes will cover.  Basically its an opportunity for him to empty some of the things in his head and reflect on many of the great books that he's loved in the past and is reading now.  Thanks for listening!

This week's episode begins midway through a discussion of Ray Wylie Hubbard's song "Dead Thumb King" and then naturally flows into Texas music, Dave's musical adventures, weird things that happen, the craziness of the Happy! television show, and more.

This episode finds the guys covering a lot of ground.  What do they discuss? Great question, Paul. Great concert experiences.  Sweaty guys in bear skins. How the pope saved one of their lives on a mountaintop.  Netflix's: Mindhunter and Travelers series.  Killing Hitler.  Pierce Brown's science fiction series, Red Rising.  Ernest Cline's novel Ready Player One and the upcoming movie.  And we look at Jeff VanderMeer's science fiction novel, Annihilation, which also has its film adaptation being released in the near future.  Thanks for listening and enjoy the show.
