PH -1: Public Hearing to consider adoption of an ordinance to change the way billing works for curbside solid waste services - billed via non-ad-valorem assessment, instead of being billed from the County’s contracted franchisee. streamline and ensure more efficient payment for services to the County.
PHQJ-1: Public hearing to change the zoning district classification for Jesus House of Hope, Inc. on one parcel from Ag to Ag Ranchette.
PHQJ-2: Public hearing to consider approval of first amendment to development agreement between Martin County and Newfield. Identifies 125 acre “environmental parcel” to be used by MC for environmental purposes (store excavated materials). Presented by John Maehl and Cory Bell, Major, US Army, Deputy District Commander, South Florida.

Dept 3: Public Records Program Update. Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, requires local governments to maintain public records and provide access to those records upon request within a reasonable time. Sangeeta presented.
Dept 5: Hurricane preparedness presentation. Sally Waite, EM Director.
Dept 6: Lanford Park Project. Jensen Beach Garden Club presented about a community project to build a public gazebo at Langford Park, provide covered outdoor seating. JBHS design competition, Tristan Zafini won. The project is supported through financial contributions, in-kind services, donated materials, volunteer labor, and technical expertise from community partners including Jensen Beach High School, SkillsUSA, the National Association of Home Builders, the Treasure Coast Builders Association, Professional Women in Building, N2 Architecture, and Martin County Parks and Recreation. This project supports the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, Goal 1: Maintain and Invest in Existing and New Facilities, by enhancing an existing County park amenity through community partnership and donated resources.
Dept 7: County presentation regarding MC Operations facility, P3 process.
SHIP Funding Now Available: State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) funding is now available for owner-occupied rehabilitation (up to $75,000), emergency repairs (up to $20,000) and water/sewer hookup (up to $20,000). Applications are now being accepted for eligible Martin County homeowners. Coastal Colors Paint Out Exhibit: The 2nd Annual Coastal Colors Paint Out exhibition brings together a stunning collection of plein-air works created during the 2nd Annual Paint Out at the historic House of Refuge. Each piece captures a fleeting moment where sky meets sea, where history stands against the elements and where artists translate place into emotion.
