You've maybe fasted in the past as part of a diet or for medical reasons, but the Bible speaks often of this practice as a way to focus our hearts and minds on our need for God. Just like the body needs food, you may not realize how deeply your spirit craves more of God. So listen in this week as we talk about fasting and how it might be the very thing to help you find breakthrough in your life and faith!

If you're a follower of Jesus, you believe in a God that is present, active in this world, and actually listens to our prayers! So why is it often so hard for us to make time to pray? Greed is a problem for many of us and greed is a problem. The funny thing with greed is that no one ever thinks it's a problem they have. The Bible has a lot to say about this hidden matter of the heart that hides itself in all sorts of ways and as we dig into it today, you may find yourself challenged to evaluate the goals you are chasing after.

Our mind is a powerful tool and if we don't sometimes think about what we think about, we'll find ourselves frustrated in life. The Bible gives great wisdom on how our minds work that goes hand in hand with what science has observed. It's been said that unforgiveness is a poison we drink and expect the other person to die. If you've lived any amount of life, you have been hurt and wronged by another person--some of us in ways that cut very deep. Jesus challenges his followers by telling us that unforgiveness is a chain around you that keeps you from living free. And so he doesn't just suggest, but commands that we forgive those who have wronged us. This is easier said than done.
