Hey Dad,    

It’s been many Brights since we last spoke so I thought I’d check in. An actual mail carrying Tender named Meena came through town and I thought of you, thought maybe she could bring this to your station. I guess I hadn’t been thinking of mail much since Borderlin’s tower isn’t exactly operational and because well, I was angry for a pretty long time and didn’t think to reach out. I’m not a kid anymore and feel bad that I blew up at you. I know you were hurting just as much as me, probably more since you knew Mom for longer, so I’m sorry for accusing you of not caring. I still disagree with you though, I think she would want us to look for her, so we could say goodbye. I think she has been looking for us too and I feel closer than ever.  

Mama Orchard has been too old to walk the fields these last few cycles so I’ve been taking it up. Facing the lost spirits has been eye opening. Though they can’t tell us their stories I can feel their sorrow, as well as their joy, I know they appreciate what we’re doing. It’s so amazing how the moths can help us communicate with others in Haeth as well as those beyond it. I know a lot of people might disagree with me but I think Borderlin is a lucky place to live, where else can we be so close to those we’ve lost and have such an intimate experience helping them move on?  

Anyways, what I want to ask... is a lot to ask... so I won’t. Hope you are healthy. Maybe I’ll hear from you if Meena ever comes back through Borderlin. I’ll give Mom your love. Love you too.  Sincerely,

Dear Father, 

Thank you for your letter concerning my travels. I am truly sympathetic to your concerns, but you must know that I am perfectly safe. 

The Haeth is a marvelous place. I recently came upon a field of firebugs that lit up the night like stars hugging the grass. It was a sight I feel I may never forget. The feeling that you are the only person in all the world seeing something so beautiful, right in that moment—I have chased it ever since. Since then, I’ve witnessed the sun breaking over the horizon, had a rather strange conversation with a small creek god, and stayed for a few days in a farm run by foxes, who’ve treated me wonderfully. 

Don’t worry about me, father. I am becoming world-hardened, or something to that effect! I am no longer that clumsy bear who forgot the tent pegs for our camping trip. If you’ve taught me anything, it is determination—and thanks to you, I have that in droves. But please, do not misunderstand me: I miss you terribly.

I wonder if you have ventured to the whispering peaks? The mountains West of the lowlands may be of interest to you regarding your research.

The winds thick winds that brew in the swamps bellow are often pulled through the formation. Many odd sounds can be heard reverberating across the peaks, some say they sound otherworldly. 

I know that you are hard at work within the Esker Highlands tracing the origins of the chime, but perhaps the whispers that make their way to the canyons bellow could give you a new perspective on what answers to seek.

Have you ever seen the Fourth Moon over a freshly tilled field?

I hear the lower to the ground it appears, the more bountiful of crop you will receive through the year. I do hope that folklore to be true, because as the king of the floating mountain flees the Rebellion, the moon is as low as I have ever seen almost standing on the hills that overlook the farm. 

The air is changing as the year of waterlily begins I hope the warm breeze catches up to you soon. 

It has been long since I have been able to write, but a new moth tower is under construction here. As the Field grow I am sure I will send more news your way. 

May the moons lay low as you plant your crop this year.

Rangers, 

your mission is to track down and confront the pokemon poachers who have been running loose far too long in the Icy Chromera Plains in the north of the region. The Group has flown under our radar so far, but the new intel received from Ranger Captain Kaylin tells us that the poachers activity is getting more rampant and obvious. 

Callum, you and new recruit seer are the closest field operatives at the moment. Head to our outpost in the plains to meet up with one of the Iodal City Rangers, Amir. Together the Three of you should be able to locate and stop the activity of the poachers for good.
