When talking about race, it is important to have constructive conversations that lead to action. Some things to keep in mind before embarking on a conversation about race are:

1. Approach the conversation with respect.

2. Put aside your preconceptions.

3. Examine your motivation.

4. Embrace the discomfort of not knowing.

5. Find out what you don't know.

6. Be Rigorously Solution-Oriented and Forward-Looking.

7. Describe How Racial Bias and Discrimination Hold Us All Back.

8. VPSA: Restate the Value, Problem, Solution, and Action stated in the conversation.
