About our 3rd episode...
Sean says:
B-Movie meltdown! I am still experiencing the love tug between "do I hate this?" or "is this gorgeous ART?" I loved watching two versions of the same basic film. The story was important enough to some of those involved in the first film version that they very kindly revised it for a more modern audience and with a bigger budget. For me, it kinda boils down to how the filmmaker shows their hand. In one version, the story is told for love of story. In the other version the story is told to make money. Not that there's anything WRONG with that. The money-er version seriously made my head explode with it's 9th level crazy, but the story first version is the one I could cuddle up with on a late night post-psychedelic evening.

I didn't want to watch either of these, but I did anyway. I did it for Sean. That's what friends do. They torture one another. Regardless, this episode was a blast to edit. Considering that we're talking about while watching both Castle Freaks simultaneously, I'd say we covered a lot of ground. RIP Stuart Gordon and long live Full Moon Features.
