  • Surviving Sudden Loss: Navigating Grief and Healing After Tragedy in Nashville
This week we discuss the Nashville Christian school shooting. We talk about the Nashville police department and their professional and heroic actions that day. We also discuss a personal loss that affected many of us who grew up in the old neighborhood. Officer Marc Atkinson of the Phoenix Police Department died in the line of duty on March 26th, 1999. His sudden death was a shock to all his family and friends back home in Utah. Brent and I remember that fateful day and discuss the emotions we dealt with then and how it's affected us the last 24 years. The biggest takeaway is how often you never get a chance to say goodbye to those you love or care about and what do you do when that happens. We also offer our sincere thoughts and prayers to those who were tragically taken from their families and friends in Nashville this week.
