He is married to Andrea, and their son Gabriel serves alongside them sharing his abundant joy for Jesus Christ with anyone willing to listen! Francisco’s life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.

On a special Valentine’s Day episode of the 3 Doves podcast, host Jason Pawlowski interviews three young men—Andrew, Caleb, and JJ—who share testimonies about God’s love, faith, and transformation. 

Andrew describes growing up in an abusive home, being airlifted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Tampa, living with his grandmother who blended Judeo-Christian practice with Christian church life, and later facing abandonment, foster-system instability, and suicidal thoughts while at DCF offices. He says a YouVersion Bible app notification reminded him God saw him, God Loves him, and he later committed his life to Jesus during sixth grade as he prepared to testify in court for the termination of his parents’ rights, supported by Christians praying over him; he cites Galatians 2:20 and shares he is now pursuing ministry. 

Caleb shares that although raised in a Christian household, he sought acceptance in middle school, fell into partying and unhealthy situations in eighth grade, and was convicted when someone asked him about Jesus while he wasn’t living like a Christian. At a church camp themed “Build Your Church,” he prayed for God to change his heart, felt peace and love, sought guidance from leaders, and later connected deeply with the song “Gratitude,” describing a growing faith and involvement in worship music, including self-teaching instruments and receiving drum lessons supported by the church; he emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with Spirit-led community. 

JJ shares growing up without an active Christian home despite Catholic traditions, experiencing parental conflict and divorce, and entering a toxic long-term relationship he mistook for love; after the breakup and further family fracture he contemplated suicide. He says meeting Caleb in school led him to Crosspoint youth group, where he found community, began sharing the gospel with his family, and at camp realized he needed Jesus and decided to be baptized; he later baptized his mother and aunt and describes renewed family unity and improved relationships between his parents.

That moment marked the beginning of a radical transformation that would reshape the direction of his life.

Justin also opens up about the impact of reconciliation with his father, who came to faith the same year. He reflects on a defining moment when his dad prayed over him and spoke 1 John 2 into his life—an act that became a turning point and helped solidify his calling and future ministry. From there, the conversation traces the unexpected birth of a cycling ministry, beginning with a challenge to ride a bike 300 miles to Key West despite weighing 268 pounds and openly disliking cycling. That single act of obedience sparked a movement that has since cycled in all 50 states and raised over $1.7 million to support and mobilize youth around the world.

Throughout the episode, Justin shares what it looks like to live missionally in everyday life—from initially refusing to go on a mission trip to Mexico to experiencing God’s persistent calling through unexpected moments, even in a laundry room. The Shift from Performance to StillnessFor years, Josh struggled with a deep-seated need for approval, a drive rooted in his early experiences with adoption and attachment. Even after a radical conversion to faith, he found himself trying to "earn" God’s favor through religious activity and strict performance. It wasn't until his life faced a total collapse—marked by betrayal, divorce, and loss—that he heard the transformative call of Psalm 46:10: "Be still and know that I am God." This stillness became his anchor, preventing a downward spiral and teaching him what it truly means to be "covered" by God’s grace.

Divine Protection on the Front LinesJosh recounts harrowing stories from his time as a police officer, where the line between life and death was razor-thin. He shares three specific instances of divine intervention: surviving two active shooting incidents and a miraculous moment where a fellow officer saved him from walking into a spinning helicopter tail rotor. These stories serve as a sobering reminder that life can end in an instant, and that God’s hand is often moving in ways we cannot see.

Restoration and a New IdentityToday, Josh has transitioned from law enforcement to the restoration business as the founder of First Response Water and Mold Removal. He views his professional work as a ministry, using his own history of personal tragedy to offer comfort and integrity to clients in their darkest moments. By naming his company "First Response," he honors his past while making a promise to never abandon those in need—healing the very wounds of abandonment he once carried.

Endurance Under TrialThe episode concludes with a powerful reflection on resilience and the promise that "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial."
