You know, I was thinking the other day about how I got into this business. I was thinking about all of the comics I've met over the years, and all of the different paths they've taken to get here. And I came to a realization: there's no one right way to become a stand up comic.

There are a lot of different ways to do it. You can start by doing open mics. You can start by doing comedy clubs. You can start by writing jokes and posting them on the internet. You can start by doing stand up comedy in your basement.

You can start by doing anything.

Because the truth is, there's no one way to become a stand up comic. And there's no one right way to do it.

There are a lot of different ways to become a stand up comic. And there are a lot of different ways to do it wrong.

But the one thing all these different ways have in common is that they're all hard. They're all challenging. They're all difficult.

Becoming a stand up comic is not easy. It's not easy by any stretch of the imagination.

But that's okay. Because if it were easy, everyone would do it. And that's not what we want.

We want something that's hard. We want something that's challenging. We want something that's difficult.

Because if it were easy, everyone would do it. And that would be boring.
