In episode 40 of the WCIA 3-in-1 Pod, it's Saturday? More like SAD-urday. Illinois Basketball lost the Braggin' Rights game for the third-year in a row, with many thinking this would be the year to win it. Bret Beherns traveled to Mizzou, and joins Marlee Wierda from the road (literally) to break down the game, and what went wrong for the team. The Illini left it up to Ayo Dosunmu who scored 36 points, but Brad Underwood puts the blame on an unbalanced offense, free throw shooting, fouling, and a lack of effort. In episode 39 of the WCIA 3-in-1 Pod: Earlier in the week, linebacker Milo Eifler didn't shy away from any trash talk, calling Northwestern their 'little brother' and taking jabs at their rivals. But the Illini took quite the beating from their little bros, losing 28-10 in Evanston on Saturday. Marlee Wierda and Andy Olson break it all down, as Illinois struggled to convert on offense amid their shrinking defensive roster.

It's the first Top 5 matchup for the fifth-ranked Illini since the 2005 national title game.

With Ohio State off the schedule, Marlee Wierda welcomes Robert Rosenthal to the studio to discuss what this means for Illinois. Their chances of getting to the Big Ten Title game are low, but definitely not zero. Robert points out all the things that need to happen, plus they preview Illinois vs. Iowa as the team gets ready to host the Hawkeyes at Memorial Stadium. 

Marlee Wierda and Andy Olson recap Illinois’ 122-60 win over North Carolina A&T in their first game of the season. The Illini were back at the State Farm Center, with less than 150 people in attendance, but they proved themselves as the No. 8 team in the country with a record-breaking performance in more ways than one. Needless to say, the rest of the season is shaping up to be pretty exciting.
