Midwives have always been busy and over this last year, have been, and felt, even more so. With some staff redeployed, and some off sick, sometimes midwives are having to balance their workload and ensuring safe and high quality care for mothers and babies, with their own physiological and psychological well-being, even to the extent of not being able to have a drink of water, or have a short break.
In this session we explore the implications of not supporting staff, and strategies to ensure that midwives (and student midwives) are able to ensure that they are keeping healthy in the workplace, and caring for themselves, and their clients.
