Everyone has misconceptions about something, and misconceptions about our priests are no exception. We've all heard stories about Martin Luther, but how many of them are true? We've heard that the Orthodox are these weird people off in the East somewhere, but is that true? Or are they weird everywhere? And lastly, we've definitely heard stories about Henry VIII, but to what lengths will Fr. Nik go to defend his opinion that he really was the kinda guy you could see yourself getting a beer with? The feeling of fall is in the air, and consequently, the Fall of Man is on our minds. What does it mean to speak of man as fallen? And when we speak of our fallenness, what exactly does that mean? And what sort of emphasis should we put on it? One of guilt? One of shame? And what does our fallenness reveal about the character of God? Some have said His wrath, but what about His love? Hear ye, hear ye! But what are we hearing? Our 3 clerical error attempt today to delve into the topic of discerning the Spirit’s voice in our lives. If and when the Spirit does speak to us, how do we discern that it is truly the Spirit that’s the one speaking? Many of us have felt like we’ve had multiple competing voices in our hearts telling us what to do and what to think, but if the Spirit of God is speaking to us in the midst of all of that, how do we discern which one is His? Mother Mary, the Virgin Mary, Blessed Mary, Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, she's known by many different titles. Perhaps no figure is quite as controversial in the Western church than the Mother of God. Many folks claim too much emphasis is put on Mary, but others say not enough. So what is it about Mary that gets people so worked up? Our clerics come together today to offer you a conversation with absolutely no resolution to this issue and several well intentioned rabbit trails as well. 

The Creeds are those defining statements of core orthodox (small "o") Christian belief. They represent what the Church has believed, does believe, and should always believe as the foundational statements to our faith. But of course there's always some bones to pick among our three clerics. Do we use the creeds in liturgy? If so, how? What are their relationship to Scripture? And will Fr.
