It's been a tough year so far for Queenslander farmers with recent floods impacting over 30 million hectares of land and more than 150,000 head of livestock lost.
For many families, this has completely wiped out their livelihoods.
That’s where Farm Angels has stepped in to deliver financial and mental health support.
Farm Angels CEO Jason Law told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "Quite a few are yet to get back to their properties."
"On a lot of the recovery meetings they're still trying to work out how to access it but we know that the statistics say that it takes three to five years to recover from any single event and for every year of extreme drought."
"Now remember that a lot of these farmers have been through extreme drought so they're still recovering from that essentially in terms of debt and the like and now they've been faced with this," Mr. Law said.
