Listen Later

According to Psychology Today, “empty nest syndrome” is:

“Empty nest syndrome refers to the distress and other complicated emotions that parents often experience when their children leave home.”

In order to navigate these uncomfortable emotions and this new stage, here are a few suggestions:

  2. Start to declutter your home, life, and calendar in order to create space for your new chapter.
  3. Commit to letting go of anything that is not you so that you can spend your time being, doing, and creating what is authentically true for you. Ask yourself:
    1. How can I be more me?
    2.
