I’m single at 39 and spent most of my 20s and 30s feeling ashamed at “not being able to make love work” and falling prey to all the ways that society tells a woman she’s at fault or less-than if no one has chosen her. Even though I never lacked marriage options and proposals, relationships never stuck for me. Discovering and unpacking my trauma and learning what my soul’s intention is for this lifetime (my dharma) has brought me peace, self-forgiveness and an empowered way forward.
