Andrij Harasewych is a third generation Ukranian/American very proud of his heritage. Andrij can read, write and speak Ukranian. He attended  Villanova University, earning a degree in mechanical engineer. for five years he worked at a job he did not enjoy. Businesses don’t consider marketing before they launch. It’s important to consider marketing costs, how are you going to advertise your business and how are you going to pay for it. If you don’t build that into your pricing you are setting yourself up for failure. Most companies don’t have the time because time is money to do the research to develop their marketing. That’s why they need companies to do the marketing for them.

Google+ focuses on an Interest Graph and not a relationship graph. The graph is the backbone of social media, it’s how you are connected. On Facebook you a relationship graph based upon who you know and have met through your life. Google+ like Google search where you search for your favorite topics, is very interest based. Search for something you are interested in like marketing or science. There are 100’s of 1,000’s of people posting great stuff.
Andrew’s Google+ group is Social Media Strategy he created to surround himself with others interested in the same thing. At first he allowed anyone to post to get a community started. Then he realized he needed followers that were knowledge leaders. He began focusing on a quality standard for his community and that raised the bar for the entire group.

What Works for Andrij Harasewych on Google Plus
When crafting a post you should not just be writing the title and copy/paste link and done. Spend some time creating your post, even if it’s 30 seconds. People will notice and respond to that. Write a special paragraph or a summary that expands on the post. Don’t just copy the meta description. That will benefit you in search engine SEO. Mention other people and include at least 2 hashtags but don’t overdo it. Simply by bolding a title you can double engagement. Star Talk Radio was on Google+ with 200-300 followers. By bolding titles, their engagement skyrocketed. From 20-30 engagements per post they went to 400-600 which knocked them onto the suggested user list and the moment they were on that list they now have over 4 million followers in a year.
Andrij uses Google Hangouts for live events. If you create a Hangout from the Hangouts tab, you can create a Hangout On Air. If you create a Hangout event from the events tab it just creates a hangout live streaming interface you can jump into but can’t record. A Hangout On Air you can tie to YouTube and go live but you cannot change the date and start over. You have to keep them all separate but you can duplicate your events. Use this to brand yourself just as you would your product. Create a template you can easily edit.
